A simple, inexpensive way to build your own creative storage system.
Years ago, we innovated the use of a CD-Rom (rather than a book) to teach artists what they needed to know about Adobe Photoshop, the software that is now the standard for creating and editing visual art projects. Because the software does many things, we honed in on exactly what artists needed, without drowning them with unnecessary instruction. “The Painter’s Guide to Photoshop” on CD-ROM is still available on Amazon!
And more recently, we realized how cool it is to pack up a few art supplies and go out driving in your car to find something to draw or paint. Thus, “Adventures in carArt: Artists in Cars Making Marks” was born. This small book gives you lots of tips for trying this mind-altering way to create art, and is also available on Amazon.
Now we have a new idea, born in our own messy art studio. The “artCart” is an ideal way to store your stuff – up off the floor and off of crowded shelves. Let’s face it: they just don’t make inexpensive shelving or cabinets that can hold your giant foamcore boards, large sheets of paper, huge frames, odd-sized canvases and the like. But now the “artCart” can be made by you, quickly and inexpensively, and we want to show you how to do it.
Look through our short and sweet website and then, for less money than you spend for an art competition entry fee, we’ll send you the simple and visual instructions to make your own “artCart” in just a few steps. The only tool you need is a rubber mallet !!!
View the photos and info on our website and then do something for yourself, by yourself. You’ll be so glad you did.

Messy supplies, oversized canvases, and awkward frames — artCart is designed to handle it all, with space for the things traditional shelves can’t manage.

No expensive furniture needed. With our $9 plan and $50 to $100 in parts, you can build a durable storage cart yourself.

On wheels, easy to move, and compact enough to fit in your studio or car. Get organized and stay mobile with your art life.

From teaching Photoshop with The Painter’s Guide to encouraging carArt adventures, we’ve always helped artists find creative solutions. artCart is our newest idea—born from our own messy studio—to help artists stay organized and inspired.
